Trump Screws MAGA & Starts A New US Forever War - Part 4 of 5

Biden's Democrats, like all social-democratic parties, are the party of US imperialism, of large-scale, multi-national, industrial capital, and more specifically, as with all conservative social-democracy, of the shareholders that exercise control over that capital. They are, as a result, more sophisticated, better connected and, in tune with the interests of that ruling class, as formulated by its permanent state bureaucracy. Trump's party, which, today, bears little resemblance even to the Republican Party of previous decades, let alone the Republican Party of Abraham Lincoln, may have assorted tech billionaires that adorn its platforms and functions, because they are opportunists, seeking to obtain favours from the most corrupt Presidency in US history, but, as with the Tory Party in Britain (itself now replaced by Reform), and as with the Blue Labour Party, it is, ideologically, a reactionary, petty-bourgeois nationalist party, hostage to the votes of that large, petty-bourgeois, electoral mass.

As with Blue Labour, a part of the electoral coalition for the Trump Party, also comes from Zionism. With Blue Labour, it is a function of the long standing relation between Labourism and Zionism, which has allowed Zionism to operate as a party within a party, promoting the open representatives, and often former employees of the Zionist state, into prominent roles within its ranks (and that is a door that swings both ways, as the movement of former Chair of Labour Friends of Israel, David Mencer, to become the Media Spokesman of the Zionist state, after he had done a job on Corbyn, shows).

In the US, it is the role of Christian Zionism, as a part of the extreme religious right-wing that has played a significant role in backing Trump, often openly associated with white nationalist groups, and anti-Semites. It is a good example of the weakness of these purely electoral, coalitions of disparate social elements with often antagonistic interests that inevitably become accentuated, and break out into violent splits, as they come face to face with the reality of taking decisions, rather than simply carping from the sidelines. Its why, like Trump, Starmer's government, which had little popular support to begin with, saw even that support disappear overnight, when it took office.

Conservative social-democratic parties face contradictions, particularly now, as the material basis for their model of the last 40 years has disappeared, but that becomes manifest in their increasing reliance upon lying and duplicity, whereas for the likes of Trump and his regime, and the same is true with the likes of Farage, it is manifest in a simple lack of grasp or intellectual capacity. As with Trotsky's analysis of Stalin, he had a narrow view of the world. And, the same is true of Trump and his hand picked government. They are amateurs, with a very narrow view of the world, and that is exacerbated by the fact that they have never had to actually inquire about that world, only to issue one lie after another about it, in order to mobilise an even more ignorant mass behind them. For both the conservative social-democrats, and for the petty-bourgeois nationalists, they are driven towards greater bureaucratic control, and authoritarianism, as the means of trying to keep a lid on those exploding contradictions.

The same is true, as those contradictions result in panic for the establishment when they start to lose control, as in New York, and have to resort to the same kinds of hyperbole, and ridiculous scaremongering.

So, when, MAGA supporter Tucker Carlson, turns on Trump, as Trump appears to have been captured by the US “deep state”, and like all those other Presidents before him, throws the US into yet another “forever war”, even he is able to expose the ignorance, and recklessness of Trump's regime, which has started an illegal war, unprovoked, and with not even the hint of a threat to the US itself, against a country, Iran, of which it does not know even the most basic things!

At least the conservative social-democratic regimes of Bliar and Bush, made a show of concocting the albeit farcical dodgy dossiers, claiming an imminent threat of Saddam's WMD against western targets, but Trump's amateurs couldn't even do that. The CIA, and Trump's own "Intelligence" Chief, Tulsi Gabbard, even declared in public that there was no evidence that Iran was seeking to develop a nuclear bomb, which they could hardly say any other, as the IAEA inspectors have been on the ground in Iran, and said exactly that.

And, of course, Bliar and Bush had some basis for believing that Saddam did have WMD, because western states had provided him with lots of them, in the 1980's, to attack Iran, as well as providing the military experts to advise him how best to use them!

The proxies of western imperialism in Ukraine and Israel should take note of the fate of Saddam, when he failed them, much as with the fate of the CEO's at TYCO and Enron, or lately, Elon Musk, following his spat with Trump. There is a message there, too, for the other “tech bros”. What a corrupt regime can provide, it can as easily take away, just ask some of the Russian oligarchs.
