The Imperialist Role of Ukraine Across The Globe

The role of Ukrainian military forces, across the globe, in support of western imperialist interests, is not new, going back at least 20 years. It exposes the lie perpetrated by the social-imperialists, that Ukraine is involved, solely, in a war of national independence. The latest example is the role of the Ukrainian military in the brutal civil war taking place in Sudan. It is fighting on the side of the Sudanese government, whilst the Wagner Group is involved in fighting on the side of the opposing Rapid Support Forces.

The Guardian, and other global news agencies have reported on the involvement of Ukrainian military forces for many months.

 

Given the huge levels of corruption in Ukraine, which is on a par with that in Russia, the involvement of Ukraine in Sudan's conflict, no doubt goes some way to explaining where the billions of dollars of funding, and more particularly of weapons, provided by western countries to Ukraine has disappeared to. Also illustrating the complex web of alliances always involved in wars, particularly those leading up to global imperialist conflicts, Iran is also reported to have been providing drones to the Sudanese government.

Neither the Sudanese government nor the rebels of the RSF can be described as paragons of virtue, let alone friendly to the interests of workers. That the other enemies of the global working-class involved in the conflicts in Ukraine-Russia, as well as Palestine-Israel, have also lined up in Sudan illustrates the idiot anti-imperialism of those on the Left that have pinned their hopes on either NATO imperialism on the one side, or Putin and XI on the other.
