Brexiters blame EU for their own idiocy, and the lies they were told by Farage, Johnson and co. But, the conclusion, here, that a solution would require a closer relation with the EU, is also inadequate, as is Starmer's ridiculous call to renegotiate Brexit. Renegotiate it to what? To get a closer relation would require making even more concessions to the EU, and if you are actually going to be in the Single Market and so on, then why not also be in the EU, and part of its decision making process?
