In the Summer of 1972, I went on holiday with my girlfriend and her parents to Torquay. They were goingfor a fortnight, but I could only get a week off work. So we went down in their car, but I had to come back on the coach.

But, I was armed with a Prinzsound cassette player, which was the latest technology from Dixons at that time, and with two C-120 cassette tapes, I was set up for the long journey home. Unfortunately, no earphones, but fortunately plenty of other young people on the coach, so we could get a sing-a-long going. Many, of these Summer toons are reminiscent of that journey back.
