Northern Soul Classics - Blueberry Hill - The San Remo Strings

Continuing the instrumental theme, this is a classic piece of Northern, from a classic group's version of a classic tune. Truly classic.

Like many instrumental groups the San Remo Strings, were one of those groups of session musicians that went by many names. San Remo Strings, Bob Wilson and the San Remo Strings, The Al Kent Orchestra, The Golden World Orchestra to name but a few. As well as appearing on the Golden World label, they appeared many times on the Ric-Tic label, both of which were swallowed up by Motown, and as such the Orchestra was swallowed up in that much larger group of Motown session musicians.
